As you can probably imagine, you're in for a lot of late nights at college. Hanging out with your friends, staying in to write a paper, studying with your roommates for tomorrow's test—you'll be doing a lot of all that, and when you do, we can promise you this: "Where should we order takeout from?" will always be part of the conversation. Yup, it's food time! For a look inside the Saint life (and to get to know our area better), scan this list of very nearby eateries where Siena students like to call when hunger kicks in.
Brick House Tavern & Tap: Pizza, wings and house-baked soft pretzels, anyone?
BurgerFi: Thanks to their Fi on the Fly mobile app, you don't even have to call to place an order for burgers, dogs and custard.
Genoa: This beloved deli is only open until 8 p.m., but it's worth mentioning—Saints can't get enough of their Italian subs.
Jimmy John's: From the Totally Tuna to the Vito to the J.J.B.L.T., their menu of gourmet sandwiches always hits the spot.
J.J. Rafferty's: Siena students love coming to this bar and grill to eat on the patio (or participate in karaoke), but on nights when they can't get out, the takeout is just as good.
Yang's Asian Bistro: When everyone agrees on sushi, Yang's rolls are the best.... and it's not just because they named one of their special rolls the "Siena" (two pieces of shrimp tempura and avocado inside, topped with spicy tuna and eel sauce.)
Burger21: Not to be confused with the first spot on this list, Burger21 does also have a huge array of burgers—but the best part of their menu is the milkshake section. Studying is a lot more fun with a chocolate malted milk ball shake in hand.
Salivating yet? There are lots more options to choose from in and around Loudonville, but these spots come to mind first. On your visit to Siena, make sure you swing by one for a taste of life upstate. Bon appetit!
