Affordability, value and return on investment: we know how strongly these factors come into play when you're researching colleges and making your final decision. That's why we couldn't be more excited to share that Siena has been named one of the MONEY® 100 Best Colleges 2016-2017. We're also on the MONEY 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges and 50 Colleges that Add the Most Value lists.
In addition to assessing a college's quality of education and affordability for their Top 100 Colleges list, MONEY took into account each college's outcomes, which included:
- Graduates' earnings as reported by alumni to Payscale.com
- The market value of alumni skills as posted on LinkedIn and estimated by the Brookings Institution
- The earnings of financial aid recipients as reported on the federal College Scorecard
- The career services office, measured by staffing per 1,000 students and its programs
MONEY also looked at the average score of each school's alumni on Payscale.com's survey question, "Does your work make the world a better place?” (Have you met Siena grads?)
For the 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges list (we're at #22) and the 50 Colleges That Add the Most Value rankings, MONEY took info from the U.S. Department of Education, Peterson's, PayScale.com and MONEY/College Measures calculations—considering things like graduation rates, earnings and student loan repayment.
