Last month, we kicked off our tour guide series with Andy Murphy, who got his first glimpse of Siena as a freshman in high school. Now, we're eager to introduce you to our next guide, or student ambassador, who knew from her first visit that our campus is where she belongs.

Whenever our alumni come to town to talk about their roads to success, Siena students are all ears—eager to hear how they made it to the top. One of our recent special visits was no exception, especially because this specific alum happens to be an upstate NY native and is currently a leader at a major company; one that she actually started interning for during her Siena days! It’s about time you meet a couple current students here on the blog. Why? This month, we chatted with Toby Sorge ’06, who was recently selected as a Master Teacher through the Master Teaching Project.

We absolutely love when Siena alumni return to campus—whether it’s to speak to students or to simply say hello. In addition to reminiscing and updating them with what’s new about their alma mater, we get to hear firsthand where their education is taking them in life. And if we have to be honest (which we always are!), we’re never disappointed. In fact, we’re constantly beyond impressed. Such was the case with Stephen Gilbert ’85, who recently stopped by to chat with students about his journey from math major to world traveler as senior vice president of architecture at Burberry. Since prospective students weren’t present, we thought we’d sit down with him and ask a few questions you might want to know. Take a look…
